Change of Pace
I thought I was going to write more often, but after deciding I needed a better photo editing app and not having the extra funds at the time I resolved to wait a couple weeks. Little did I know that two weeks later I'd be starting the moving process!
The front yard needs a lot of work. With the money we are saving on rent ( yes this little one bedroom with a front and backyard, kitchenette, kitchen, dining area, living room and full small bath, and a small walk in closet...is cheaper than the studio we lived in previously).
I'm super excited because I ordered plants for the front and backyard! The landlord even said she would reimburse me for any work done. She paid the last tenants back for the paint they used...I wouldn't have. I might be painting again but that's down the line.

A Walk in the Woods
So since there was a break in the rain (it was sunny two days ago!) I decided to go up our street and take a walk in the woods. It looks like a little wooded area, but actually extends very far in all directions around our neighborhood.
Shh sleeping spirits!
Up this path is the tea house
Running through the woods!
This wooded area is one of the few spots where we live not covered in redwoods.
This little pocket of baby redwoods wormed their way in!
Restful Stop for the Weary
Reverend Meyer Moto Tea House
There are pretty fabric covered booths and wooden benches with a table
My neighbors husband says he wasn't real but his wife and kids think the Reverend did exist!
Someone put a lot of work into this
Fairy Stump
I feel so lucky to have this as my "neighborhood walk"
Well tut-tut it feels like rain! Time to go back!

Time for a Haircut
Time for a Haircut! Part 1
So I think it's been about 5 years since I've gone to get my hair cut. I've trimmed it here and there...but it's getting to the bottom of my back! I used to think I did a well enough job myself. Having to get my hair "fixed" by someone giggling as they examined my handiwork a couple times, I settled for the occasional self-trim.
It's probably because I'm so indecisive that I haven't resolved to a style I want. I wanted a bob before (no thanks!), then a longer A-line (nah, not "me"). So now here is what I'm thinking:
She looks like a girl I know named Julia, lucky right?
Some layers with maybe a hint of color? Not as much highlighting as is going on in this picture. I've noticed the "ombre" look is popular on everything...
I usually like my "ombre" from the bottom up but that's just me.
Casual Fall Ombre Hair
I like this look because its blended better than most versions I see. I know I wouldn't go all out on this style but a little bit of highlighting to accent the layers would be cool.
Now to find a stylist! Uhhh! That's another very good reason I haven't had my hair re-styled in awhile. It's hard to find people that can interpret what you want...especially when you are so unsure! So it's not them, it's me! I don't like when people want your help, and that help includes figuring out for them exactly what they want.
So now that I have a bit of an idea of what I want I headed to Yelp! I finally found a place that didn't have the "just don't get that person, and you're fine!" So Ill be calling the Pleasure Head Salon tomorrow to make an appointment! If I'm lucky I'll get in this weekend so Ill keep you posted!
