A Walk in the Woods

So since there was a break in the rain (it was sunny two days ago!) I decided to go up our street and take a walk in the woods. It looks like a little wooded area, but actually extends very far in all directions around       our neighborhood.

Shh sleeping spirits!

Up this path is the tea house

Running through the woods!
I scared my friends Matt and Missy running down the path back to our road! "I was wondering who was running through the woods!". I assured her I wasn't a ghost! Even though I wouldn't know what one looked like as I've never seen one. She said she saw little dolls in her kitchen moving once! She said she watched them moving for a long time. "When you were little?!"... "No last month"

This wooded area is one of the few spots where we live not covered in redwoods.

This little pocket of baby redwoods wormed their way in!

Restful Stop for the Weary

Reverend Meyer Moto Tea House

There are pretty fabric covered  booths and wooden benches with a table

My neighbors husband says he wasn't real but  his wife and kids think  the Reverend did exist!

Someone put a lot of work into this

Fairy Stump

I feel so lucky to have this as my "neighborhood walk"
Well tut-tut it feels like rain! Time to go back!

  1. I recently purchased the property that this trail sits on. If anyone knows any history of the property or the reverend I would love to hear it

  2. Will you be staying in the area? Local neighbors would be the best resource. I heard there was and wasn't a reverend...I guess there used to be more of a picnic area up there. A couple people on the mountain have lived there 25+ years. The White House going up the road was supposedly a Manson Family house for a bit. If you are going to live their Ill tell you more about your soon to be neighbors...oh boy!
